The experience of the body palimpsest
A palimpsest is a manuscript made up of a parchment already used, whose inscriptions have been removed to be able to write again. This method was used in the Middle Ages, especially between the eighth century and the twelfth century, by copyists who, expensive parchment, reused old manuscripts to copy new texts. For this, old manuscripts were previously de-inked or erased with pumice. Starting from this concept, we experimented with anchoring and imprinting on the human body. I realized two body painting and and made the photographies.
